At Active Care Health, we are proud to offer the GLA:D™ Canada program , a scientifically-backed, physiotherapist-led approach to managing hip and knee osteoarthritis (OA). Whether you’re dealing with daily stiffness, aching joints, or reduced mobility, the GLA:D™ program is designed to help you move better, hurt less, and get back to the activities you enjoy.
What is the GLA:D™ Program?
GLA:D™ stands for Good Life with osteoArthritis: in Denmark, where the program was originally developed and launched in 2013. It has since been introduced across Canada through GLA:D™ Canada, licensed to the University Health Network (UHN), and is now available at clinics nationwide , including right here at Active Care Health.
The program is not a generic exercise class. It is a structured, individualized program built on the latest osteoarthritis research and real-world feedback from both patients and healthcare professionals. It is suitable for people with mild to severe OA symptoms who want an evidence-based alternative , or complement , to medication and surgery.
